China: Nuclear expansion continues at home and abroad

Overview

China’s nuclear industry remains key to the PRC government’s desire to improve the environment and reduce the country’s dependence on overseas energy supplies. The number of reactors continues to grow in China as both CNNC and CGN complete new projects. The export push has seen new nuclear agreements being signed with Argentina, Kazakhstan and Indonesia.
