China’s new Energy Strategy is beginning to emerge after comments last week. There is a clear focus on gas as a way to reduce dependence on coal in power generation and industry. However the long-term goal is an economy with a much greater reliance on renewable energy. While gas is set to play a key role in that transition, its long-term role in China’s energy supply mix may be constrained....
