Brazil: Temer’s tussle for political survival

Overview

As expected, Attorney-General Rodrigo Janot filed his first charge against President Temer late Monday evening for passive corruption. While he did not provide explosive new information to link Temer further to the JBS corruption scheme, the government’s relief could be temporary, with Janot on track to file more charges, each of which could require separate votes in the Lower House....
