Overview

Despite growing signs that the scandal-enmeshed Temer administration will be unable to pass a robust pension reform and is resorting to more fiscal erosion in its struggle to stay in power, the market in the past two months has remained largely sanguine about Brazil’s worsening political crisis, irrespective of whether President Michel Temer is ousted early from office.
